Unity, social integration and cohesion are very critical where people from different cultural backgrounds, age groups, regions and off course families leave their respective homes, meet and live together in one neighbourhood like a workplace. Having realised the importance of togetherness, Chiradzulu Secondary School teaching staff have organised a brai that will take place at the scholol's Home Economics Lab, tomorrow, the 24th September, 2011.

According to Mr. Moyo, one of the teachers and organisers, the function is aimed at enhancing togethrness. "We have organised this brai so that, as members of one community, we come together, eat together, drink together, enjoy together and do some other activities together," echoed Moyo.

Asked if they have ever had any such activity since he came to teach at Chiradzulu Secondary school, Moyo who has taught at the school for over five years said apart from football (which is popularly known as 'socials') and television watching in the staffroom, he has never seen an activity that enhances social cohesion among teachers at the school. He said, "I think it's because of the fear to contibute more money than others. Since  bear is more expensive than soft drinks, those who don't drink (bear) felt like if they contribute equal amounts, they will pay more.To solve this problem, we will buy soft drinks only. Those who want bear, they will buy using money from their own pocket but they will be allowed to drink at the place."

Moyo also blamed poor organisation as being responsible for the absence of brai and other such activities in the past years. "I believe we, teachers of Chiradzulu Secondary School are more organised than ever," claimed Moyo.

Chiradzulu Secondary School is a government owned school situated in Chiradzulu district. The brai is expected to attract about 26 teachers of the school.
